Imagine the bold, almost comic book noir style of Sin City or Dick Tracy. Now, instead of oppressively grim content, add the lighthearted, intelligent dialogue and romantic, family friendly themes of The Princess Bride. This is The Vindication of Ronald Clay, and Other Fables for a Rainy Day, a film by Maharishi University of Management (MUM) faculty Cullen Thomas (Director), and Donald Revolinski (Producer). It will be shot on location in Fairfield, Iowa with assistance from 10 MUM students who are receiving credit for their participation on the crew.
The filmmakers need your support to make it happen (otherwise it won’t). Pre-order your DVD by clicking in our sidebar >>>.

The Vindication of Ronald Clay will feature performances from an all Iowa cast including David Murphy, Elizabeth Huebner, and Myranda Stangeland, and will feature Fairfield Mayor Ed Malloy as the President of the United States.
This from Donald Revolinski, the Producer.
“We have almost everything we need in place, the only thing we’re missing is enough funds to finish what we’ve started. We are selling DVDs at $25 per disc. By pre-ordering a DVD you will be giving us the means to make finish what we’ve started, and will be among the first to receive a DVD when they are available. A few of the things we will be doing with your money:
- purchasing supplies to build a spaceship
- purchasing supplies to retrofit a coffee shop
- catering a few meals on the weekends for our volunteer cast and crew
- paying for our good friend Adam Lima to add his professional flair in special effects in post-production (check out Adam’s impressive highlight reel here).
At this time we are looking to raise $6000, which will take care of everything we need. 240 DVD sales will make this a reality, and we hope you’re as excited about this project as we are.
This script that Cullen has written would normally cost upwards of $250k to produce, but because it is being shot as part of a class at Maharishi University of Management some of our overhead costs are taken care of (like providing students for labor, feeding and housing them, and providing us with the Media & Communications production equipment including a cutting edge RED One camera). Also because our actors are supporting us by volunteering their expert services for free, we are able to do this film on virtually no budget.”
